Silicon Valley, California – June 20th 2007 – AlwaysOn , the leading media brand covering the innovation-driven business markets, announced today that top Hollywood Reporter executive Marc Sternberg has joined the company as President and Chief Operating Officer.

For the past 18 years, Mr. Sternberg has worked in multiple capacities at The Hollywood Reporter, most recently as vice president, features & strategic partnerships. Prior to that, he worked at Daily Variety for five years. Throughout his career at the Hollywood "trades" he has innovated many new publishing concepts and ideas.

"With over 25 year's of experience in the publishing, media, entertainment, and advertising industries, Marc has extraordinary leadership skills, incredible knowledge, and deep relationships around the world," says AlwaysOn founder and editor, Tony Perkins. "With Marc on board we can take the AlwaysOn brand truly global."

AlwaysOn ignited the open-media revolution in early 2003 by being the first media brand to launch a global blog network that attracted sponsorship support from blue chip brands such as HP, IBM, Accenture, Audi, Motorola and KPMG. In 2004, AlwaysOn continued to lead the media industry in innovation by introducing a social network where members can connect and engage. AlwaysOn is also revolutionizing the media business by applying its open-media principles to its executive event series (Stanford Summit, AlwaysOn Hollywood, OnMedia, GoingGreen, and Venture Summit West) and quarterly print "blogozine."

"AlwaysOn is a cutting edge media brand that is uniquely leveraging the open media technologies that it’s editors and bloggers have been writing about for the last four years--- I look forward to working closely with Tony and the great team he has assembled to guide the AlwaysOn brand during this exciting phase of growth," Sternberg said.

As AlwaysOn’s loyal readers know, AlwaysOn is committed to the free-market, merit-driven approach to reporting and event programming. No other media brand has dared to create such open interaction with its readers and event participants.
