Mark Gibbs has worked in the IT industry for more than 30 years. He has done just about everything in the networking business short of hacking into NORAD. He has worked as an executive in various companies, he has created companies, and he has consulted on product development for many organizations. A veteran of eight start-ups he was co-founder of Novell UK and created and co-founded Netratings, Inc.

As an author he has written four books and numerous articles about networking and computer technology and has been a regular contributor to Network World Magazine since 1995 for which he pens (well, keyboards) the weekly Backspin and Gearhead columns as well as the weekly Web Applications Alert Newsletter. He is available for consulting gigs, weddings, and baht mitzvahs.
